In hindsight, ‘Musical Monday’ or ‘Tuesday Tunes’ might have been a better choice, but it just felt like a music day to me. So, without further ado, Friday Show and Tell!
Looking for something different? Tired of the same kinds of songs? Look no further than Pentatonix for a fresh take on well-known songs. Clearly these kids have the Courage to Create, and frankly, they’re fantastic (Fermata Friday, frankly, fantastic…I have got to stop the alliteration).
Anyway. This group is taking a cappella music to an entirely new level. Believe it or not, every last sound in each of their songs is made by someone’s voice, and they sound about the same even before studio magic. I can hardly do them justice here, so just take a few minutes out of your day to listen to them. I promise you won’t be sorry. Their youtube channel can be found here:
On a side note, I desperately want to start an a cappella group now, which is hard to do when no one else wants to. This is a problem I intend to solve with a condenser mic and multi-tracking. Stay tuned for more time-wasting activities, brought to you by someone who should be writing instead…
